Cisco Live 2019 US: CAE, Big Ideas Speakers set, odds and ends

Couple of little things …
NetVet? If so, class scheduling is already open for you! For everyone else, it should be open season Monday, April 22.
My previous post hinted that there would be a fourth Big Ideas speaker. Alas, there won’t be a fourth, so the schedule stands:
- Monday, June 10 – Janet Stovall – How to get serious about diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- Wednesday, June 12 – Kate Darling (Research Specialist, MIT) – The Future of Human-Robot Interaction
- Thursday, June 13 – Ben Nemtin (Producer/Author) – The Buried Life
Remember, these talks will be 9am-10am at the Big Idea Theater.
Next, you can actually add the Tweetups to your Cisco Live schedule! Only issue is that classes on Sunday will go until 6pm, and the Tweetup is scheduled for 5:45pm. No worries, though – the photo will be at 6:10pm so it shouldn’t be too hard to make it there in time.
And of course I save the best for last … they used to call it the “Customer Appreciation Event”, but they now call it the Cisco Live Celebration. This year it will be at Petco Park, and …
Weezer opens the CLC!
You read that right! Weezer, by themselves great enough to be a headlining band, is opening the Cisco Live Celebration on Wednesday. But they’re opening for
Foo Fighters
The Foo Fighters will be featured at Petco Park on Wednesday, June 12, with the event scheduled for 7:00pm through to 11:00pm. To top it off, as usual, food and drinks will be free.
The only bit of information I don’t have yet is the Guest Speaker for the closing keynote, but hopefully I’ll get that soon. Keep an eye out for a tweet covering that scoop! I’ll let you know when I know!
