Eric Stewart: Running Off At The Mouth

Twitter Followers Be Warned

by Eric Stewart on Apr.29, 2009, under Technology, The Internet

At the time of this writing, I’ve had as many as 17 followers, a good number of which I have no previous connection to.  So, I wanted to lay out a few things for my Tweeps to know:

  • I can be free with my language.  Usually I keep that freeness isolated to my Blog and maybe Facebook.
  • Currrently I consider myself Agnostic, and have no trouble whatsoever taking potshots at any organized religion, particularly those that can be considered fundamentalist.  This includes both Christian and Muslim fundamentalism.
  • I reserve the right to block you.
  • I reserve the right to not follow you.
  • Tweet topics will range from the absurd to the lucid, SCUBA to Photography, Computers and the Internet, Current Events … really, there isn’t a limit.
  • Tweets that aren’t replies end up on my Facebook status; that’s what I originally joined for (well, that’s not wholly true; there’s a longer story there but it’s boring).
  • I’ve been known to tweet four or five times in a three minute period.  I’m hoping this is an exception rather than a rule.
  • I of course do not tweet while asleep, so if you’re hanging on every word, you might be hanging for a while.
  • I reserve the right not to tweet for a while (say, like while on vacation on a SCUBA liveaboard, or if I just don’t feel like it).
  • If I follow you, I reserve the right not to later.

Should anything else occur to me it will be added to this list later. 🙂

Oh yeah – you’re at my blog.  If you haven’t figured it out yet, there should be links at the bottom for my SCUBA site, and also my gallery for above water photography.  That pretty much rounds out what my stalkers need to know.
